About
Reperatory, a well known socio- cultural organization in Assam, with headquarters at Tezpur, registered under society act 1860, Regd No: SRP/242/E/89. The organization is stated to a NGO has been performed various cultural events with staging dramas in various parts of Assam The organization has been undertaking training of drama artists including children in the stage. The organization has been offering trainings to different ages of artist to become performed in their near future.
The organization has also been provided necessary step to their trainee member to get their self employment in due courses. The organization has been performing street dramas to create national integrity awareness through its various performers and to encourage the trainee artist become self employment in near future. The organization has been organized a good number of medical camps in rural areas and provided medical assistances besides providing free medicines in such areas. The organization has been doing establishes a number of farms in its capacities for the self employment of their members and in particular to unemployed youth in the region.

  • To collect manuscripts for preservation and research works
  • To provide training of traditional performing art to the needy and interested youth for cultural uplift of the society.
  • To organized workshop on modern drama & folk drama and subsequent presentation of these.
  • To collect and preservation folk song, folk dance & cultural heritage of north east India.

Director of the Group Mr. Pulak Kumar Deka, one of the upcoming and promising dramatists and director from Assam. An energetic, young and dashing Mr. Deka has done his Master Degree in Assamese Literature from Guwahati University. He added another Master Degree in Cultural Studies from Central University. In his pursuit for excellence Mr. Deka had involved himself in research work on performing arts of the North-East India.
He had authored a large number of dramas, directed and staged for the public for viewing pleasure. Some of the contribution that he had made are (Drama Script) : Operation Sangbidhan, Ojapali, Deologa Tiniali, Ahotgurir Bhut, Nisar Artonad, Jehad, Blood Group, Mur Patnir BIya, Sabadhan Apunar Gharotu Xumabo Pare, Bohagot Jolibo Jui, Nati, Bhoomi, Janda Usha Rahe Hamara, Bharo Mahar Geet, Moi Atma Hatya Korim, Lakhya – 2012, Valley of Death, Rong Mela, Bholagurir Artonad, Mrityu Upatyaka, Kak Kom Kune Potiyabo.
Mr. Deka has directed more than twenty five plays in Assam and in other states of India. Namely Sonit Konwari, Lovita, Maniram Dewan, Kanaklata, 5 plays of Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, 5 plays of Natsurya Phani Sharma, Aboidya, Abhigyan Shakuntalam and other 20 more plays. His contribution to TV Serials, CD Films and a large number of documentaries on contemporary issues projecting the burning problems have brought laurels to him.
